Our Story: From a High-Performance Legacy to Cosmetic Perfection
Since my father set up his business over 9 years ago, I’ve seen the incredible passion and large sums of money people spend on repairing, maintaining, and modifying their pride and joys. But, I also saw the condition of these amazing vehicles... and they often weren't great. Covered in swirls, marring, deep scratches, and many more defects.
So, I decided to do something about it. I started training to detail cars at Retro Resus back in 2020, focusing on restoring the cosmetic condition to match the mechanical perfection. After finding a true passion for exterior car care, I took the hobby to the next level, and that's where JHW Detailing begun.
I'm Jack Walker, the founder, the head detailer, the man behind the social media, and the person who takes your booking. I'm not just a detailer; I'm fuelled by a deep passion for cars, vehicle customisation, and performance modifications.
Being a major car enthusiast doesn't just mean I have a massive interest in your vehicle; it ensures that every car I work on is taken to that next level. My goal is to go above and beyond on every single service, because this is more than a business to me.
JHW Detailing kick-started back in the summer of 2021, but the real story begins much earlier. I was brought up around cars, literally, in my father’s performance mechanic workshop, "Retro Resus," a specialist in the VAG market, classic car restoration, and high-performance custom builds.

Passion gets you started, but expertise is what delivers a flawless finish. In September 2022, I attended the AutoFinesse Master Detailer 5 Day Training Course to deepen my knowledge and skills. Learning directly from major UK detailers like Blake Sarrington and Steven Brooks was a blessing, providing me with the tricks, methods, and skills to achieve that "like new" finish on any surface.
